About

Statement

I avoid being overtly explicit in my work; imagination plays a large part in my process. I take inspiration from dreams, not actual dream imagery but the dream worlds that we inhabit where rules or structures do not apply. I try to keep myself open to constant change in the painting process. The paintings change many directions throughout the course of being painted. Themes, objects, colours, and compositional approaches are altered before reaching the finished state.

  1. Hi Neil
I met you last summer at the Native Canadian Centre in downtown Toronto while doing some work for St. Mikes Hospital – a young Oneida woman. You were beading a beautiful vest and left me your card, so I have no other contact info other than this website. Im wondering if you can please contact me regarding some of the work that you do.
